Pro Wrestling News Report 12-26-2009
Okay, I know, it’s been a few months since I last posted any pro wrestling news due to my work schedule. It will continue to be overbearing until April of 2010. When things slow down, I will blog more, but I do not feel I can present a good wrestling news blog with no time to blog.
With THAT said, I need to address the upcoming Monday Night wars that will officially begin on January 04,2010.
While many people continue to speculate that TNA stands a ’snowball’s chance’ competing with RAW on Monday nights, there are many reasons to for Dixie Carter to make this move at this precise time. Depending on her true business motives, the TNA company stands a very good chance at stealing some of RAW’s teen-adult wrestling fans. Vince has stated himself that he is not competing with MMA nor TNA, however, some cross-over is inevitable. That short-sightedness may cost him.
On December 13th, 2009, WWE aired it’s “Tables, Ladders, & Chairs’ PPV. From the opening match, I could tell this would be tough to watch all the way through. I was horrified to see a wrestling match stopped due to a little blood and there was nothing that happened the entire night that screamed ‘pay-per-view’. This PPV was worthless and wasted money.
On December 20th, 2009, TNA aired it’s ‘Final Resolution’ PPV and while the company does not have the production capabilities of WWE, the wrestlers in TNA proved that production is NOT everything. The pay-per-view included a twisted ‘Feast or Fired’ match and two of the best wrestling matches of the year in Kurt Angle vs Desmond Wolfe and AJ Styles vs Christopher Daniels. There are no words. This pay-per-view is a MUST SEE for any true wrestling fan.
This MAJOR contrast between TNA and WWE will prove to, at least, be a thorn in Vince McMahon’s side. With contracts already signed on PG television spots, Vince is all too correct about who he is competing with. No one. Hopefully, there’s a market for that or else TNA will clean Vince’s clock while he tries to ‘re-invent the wheel’.
Personally, I think World Wrestling Entertainment has gone too long without competition. We, as fans, have been held hostage to the whims of the WWE creative team and VKM. Dixie Carter and TNA bring a fresh look to a classic sports entertainment show with a new ring look and brand new ideas.

TNA Pro Wrestling News
- Dixie Carter, CEO of Total Nonstop Action (TNA) wrestling is shaking up the wrestling world. With the signing of Hulk Hogan and the recent meeting aired live before this week’s TNA broadcast, Carter addressed the roster with plans of BIG changes within the company and challenged every wrestler in the company to step up their game. Not only has TNA acquired one of the biggest names in pro wrestling news today, but finds itself in the unique position of being able to do something that World Wrestling Entertainment cannot and will not offer. The cross between mixed martial arts style fighting (MMA) and wrestling. Dixie is genuinely interested in YOUR opinion, as far as which wrestlers you’d like to see more of, and can be contacted here.

TNA Pro Wrestling News Report
- The biggest pro wrestling news of last week was definitely the signing of Hulk Hogan to TNA. While it’s still unclear what kind of repercussions, if any, will occur. It has, undeniably, boosted their ratings and will continue to do so as the word gets out that there is an alternative to World Wrestling Entertainment’s PG-TV stance that includes big name players. But, the under-reported story here is the package deal that came with Hogan, Eric Bischoff.
