Total Nonstop Action (TNA) Wrestling News

- Total Nonstop Action (TNA) pulled a fast one on World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) by snatching up Nigel McGuinness. McGuinness, reportedly told people backstage the World Wrestling Entertainment took too long to send his contract. If you have never seen McGuinness perform, you are in for a treat. Not only is he a talented wrestler, but quite possibly one of the best personalities in wrestling today. If TNA manages to get Rob Van Dam, Tyson Tomko, and Bryan Danielson before WWE, it could have an interesting long term effect on the brand’s value as an established televised wrestling organization.

- During the Bound For Glory 2009 event, Lisa Marie Varon and Kim Couture brought their MMA battle closer to a reality. Following up Kim Couture’s attacking Tara at Bound for Glory she posted on Twitter, “finally going to bed after a crazy night, that TNA chic is crazy! she needs to sign with Strikeforce if she wants to fight me so bad!”

- Be sure to watch the TNA iMPACT! Zone this week. There will be some great matches including: Awesome Kong vs Raisha Saeed, AJ Syles and Daniels will take on Samoa Joe and Kevin Nash, the Motor City Machine Guns take on Lethal Consequences in an Ultimate-X match, Beer Money Inc. takes on the British Invasion in the Six-Sides Of Steel, and the Amazing Red will defend the X-Division Championship against Homicide.

World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) Wrestling News

- In case you missed it, Joey Lagano and Kyle Busch from NASCAR will be the special guest host general managers for Monday Night RAW next week. There are rumors, also, that David Arquette may be a guest host general manager on Monday Night RAW. Arquette once held the WCW championship, is a true fan of wrestling, and would surely be entertaining.

- Here is the latest WWE Bragging Rights 2009 card:

* Randy Orton vs John Cena for the WWE Championship in a 60 Minute Iron Man Match. Either Cena leaves RAW or Orton gets no more title shots.

* The Undertaker vs CM Punk vs Batista vs Rey Mysterio for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship title.

* Intercontinental Champion John Morrison vs the US Champion The Miz in a non-title match.

* Melina Perez, Kelly Kelly, & Gail Kim vs Michelle McCool, Beth Phoenix, and Natalya Neidhart in a RAW vs SMACKDOWN divas match.

* Team RAW = DX, Big Show, Mark Henry, Cody Rhodes, Kofi Kingston, & Jack Swagger vs Team Smackdown = Chris Jericho, Kane, Cryme Tyme, Dolph Ziggler, Drew McIntyre, & Eric Escobar in a seven on seven match.

- Jim Ross suffered his third Bell’s palsy attack Monday night while on a plane to South Carolina. Since, the WWE doctors have been able to get medication to help control the paralysis. JR seems optimistic and plans to continue tonight’s Smackdown tapings. If you get time, drop J.R. a line at here and wish him well.
