On February 22nd, 2002, she debuted in Northwest Territories Can-Am Wrestling and was given the Women’s Championship title. She wrestled and valeted in various Canadian wrestling promotions using the name Sweet Sarah throughout most of of the year. In September of 2002, she began wrestling in the United States working for the World Xtreme Wrestling (WXW) promotion run by Afa Anoa’i competing against Mercedes Martinez and Valentina. A month later, she returned to Canada and assumed the name Sarah Griffin wrestling in many Canadian independent circuits such as : Can-Am, Hybrid Wrestling Coalition, Extreme Canadian Wrestling, Premier Championship Wrestling, and Monster Pro Wrestling. In April of 2003, she returned to the WXW production for approximately a month.
In late 2003, Stock moved to Monterrey, Mexico to compete with the female wrestlers and improve upon her in-ring skills. She wore a mask and called herself the Dark Angel at the behest of trainer, Eddie Watts. She did not speak Spanish, which made working with the local wrestlers difficult, but she managed and on October 17, she won the Lucha Libre Junior Female Championship. She continued competing in various US promotions such as : World Xtreme Wrestling (WXW), Ring Of Honor (ROH), and Ohio Valley Wrestling (OVW) during her time in Mexico, but mainly worked for Asistencia Asesoría y Administración (AAA) and Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL).
She once had an exciting 45 minute competition against Princesa Sugey, after which, her mask was removed. She won a hair vs. mask match against La Amaploa and removed Amapola’s mask and gained her dignity back from Princesa Sugey on March 25th, 2005 by defeating her for the Federación Internacional de Lucha Libre Women’s Championship. In September of 2006, Stock returned to the Canadian circuit with MainStream Wrestling Entertainment (MSW). She wrestled quite a few hi-profile matches including beating Kyle Kruze (the MSW Champion) three times in a non title match-up and Nattie Neidhart who barely bested her in a three out of five split series. She, then, returned to Mexico’s CMLL for approximately 4 years. On June 1rst, 2007, Sarah Stock debuted for SHIMMER wrestling in the tournament that founded the promotion’s first Women’s Champion. She defeated both Cheerleader Melissa and MsChif in the quarter-finals, but lost to Sarah Del Rey in the semifinals.
Sarita – TNA Knockout
In March of 2009, Total Nonstop Action (TNA) wrestling via Mick Foley began publicly raving about Stock’s wrestling performances and by April 21rst, she was given an opportunity to compete in a few dark matches for the promotion. Now going by the name Sarita (which is a variant of the name Sarah or Sarina) she lost her first match to Awesome Kong, but returned the following night defeating Taylor Wilde. On July 16th, Sarita made her in-ring debut for TNA by barely defeating another newcomer Alissa Flash in a singles match. Shortly afterward, TNA announced it’s new women’s tag team division and held a tournament to crown the new title holders. Sarita began teaming with Taylor Wilde throughout August and September. On September 20th, at No Surrender, Sarita and Taylor Wilde became the TNA Knockout Tag Team Champions by defeating the teams of Alissa Flash and Daffney, Awesome Kong and Raisha Saeed, and Madison Rayne with Velvet Sky. The following week on iMPACT!, they retained the titles after competing against ODB and Tara.
Sarita brings a fresh new look and pace to a TNA Knockout division that is already diverse with different wrestling styles. Her in-ring skills are exceptional, her interviews and promos are decent, and now, less than two months from joining TNA, she holds one half of the Knockouts Tag Team Championships.
